The Sleep Aid for a Stress-related Insomniac

Sean is a senior manager for a large British company.  His daytime job is extremely busy and stressful.  We asked him to test out our natural sleep drink to see if it could really help him get a much needed good night’s sleep.  This is what he told us after taking just one dose in hot milk.

“I have stress-related insomnia thanks to my job.  At particularly busy times I really do struggle to get my ideal seven to eight hours’ sleep.  I can survive on six hours but my concentration is severely compromised and I can get grumpy with work colleagues.  Usually, I can get to sleep, no problem, but I often wake up in the middle of the night and then I can’t get back to sleep.  

After two to three days of this happening, this is when it really affects me.  In the past I haven’t taken a remedy for it but I have tried: mindfulness, breathing techniques and avoiding looking at screens an hour before bed, with varying degrees of success.  After taking one dose of your drink in warm milk I had a really good night’s sleep – seven hours straight without waking – which is unusual for me.  I woke up in the morning feeling really refreshed too.  I also have to say that I love the malty taste:  it’s far nicer than Ovaltine.”

Finally, 8 Hours of Sleep Achieved

33-year-old Jamie owns and runs a busy artisanal bakery in a large English town. The bakery opened four years ago at the same time that Jamie’s intermittent insomnia took hold. Coincidental? Jamie thinks not, attributing his sleeplessness to an inability to switch off at the end of the day.

As his business becomes increasingly busy and more successful, Jamie’s sleeping patterns have become more irregular.

“I need seven hours of sleep.  However, of late I have been waking three or four times during the night for 30 to 60 minutes at a time, falling back to sleep only to wake an hour later.  I’m averaging, at best, four to five hours of sleep and that’s affecting my behaviour during the day:  I’m more cantankerous, slightly erratic and I’m letting important work matters slip. 

I was more than willing to give your drink a try, albeit a little skeptically, as most sleeping remedies do not work on me. Valerian, for example, just keeps me awake. The first time I tried it, I took one dose in hot milk before bed; it helped. But the next night I decided to try two doses, because my day had been particularly stressful. I took one dose at the end of the day and the other 30 minutes before bed. The double dose worked better. I went to sleep and woke up with the alarm, a full eight hourslater.

How To Stop A Decade of Deteriorating Sleep

Jane is a 46-year-old self-employed reflexologist, this is what she told us: “The quality of my sleep has been steadily deteriorating for the last 10 years.  The pattern is consistent in that I tend to get to sleep but then, usually during times of stress, I wake up around 3am and can’t get back to sleep.  I also struggle to sleep, at all, in the three days before my period and I find the tiredness then impacts my effectiveness at work, and energy levels in general, leaving me low and emotional.  In the past I have used exercise, melatonin and various herbal remedies to get a good night’s sleep but the results have been mixed and didn’t really help to break the habit which was why I was eager to try your drink. 

I took it in warm milk even though I don’t really like milk but, surprisingly, I enjoyed it with the sleep drink in it.  I have tried the drink on three different occasions at a time in my life when I was under a great deal of stress. In two of the cases I noticed that, even though I woke in the middle of the night, I fell asleep again.  This was such a relief as usually I would lie there awake until the alarm went off. The third time I took the drink I did struggle a little to get to sleep and should have taken a double shot as recommended, given the particularly difficult life circumstances I was experiencing at the time but didn’t.  That said, even on one shot I got more sleep than I expected and was able to face the day with energy.”

Senior Sleeplessness
